Ready, Set, Glow!

’m April, a 48-year-old mom of three and wife to Steven for 21 years. My heart belongs to my kids: 20-year-old twins, Emily and Connor, and 17-year-old Claire, who’s a senior. Emily’s at Texas Tech and Connor’s at Lamar Institute. I’m all about family time, even if it’s just a Walmart run. We love supporting our kids’ dreams, and faith is central to our lives as we attend Praise Church in Beaumont.

I’ve been an X-ray Tech for 24 years and have taught for 13 at Lamar Institute. I earned my Bachelor's at 40, proving it’s never too late to chase your goals. I also run a custom sugar cookie business, but I’m cutting back to focus on family, health, and my growing skincare business with NuSkin, which has brought me unexpected passion.

I’m a firm believer in lifting others up and celebrating every success. I love empowering women, knowing that helping others win doesn’t take away from your own blessings. I’m always striving to be better, despite my own struggles with insecurities, health, and personal challenges.

Some of my favorite things: Netflix, books, skincare, faith, animals (we have three dogs and a pig named Winnie), and making meaningful connections. My mantra: We Rise By Lifting Others.
